:. Yonkers Power Station (Glenwood) - New York Central Hudson River Railroad (1904). It was built as part of the electrification of the rail lines spurred in part by dangerous conditions caused by steam engines and related smoke, and also by the need for a completely new and larger Grand Central Terminal. Supposedly it is structurally sound and an application for landmark status is pending. Metro North Hudson Line trains pass right by this building. Its quite a fascinating sight.
